Oh, I almost forgot the trailer, here it is:
Edit 10pm: It seems I was high on something since Final Fantasy XIV is coming out in September and not in March, the March version is for the PS3, my bad.
First thing first, you should know that I never really liked doing instanced dungeons or raids. I tried in some other games before but it never really appealed to me. I’ve always be the gatherer/crafter/quester kind of guy. I never absolutely wanted the best gear or the best stats, I just want to enjoy the game I play. So, with that said, let’s start.
Yesterday Zawa and I decided to try XAES to finish some quests and see what it looks like. But before even thinking of going in we had to find a group to help us. We tried it before only the two of us… and it was clearly too much for only the two on us.
So after finding 4 other people we went in, everyone was level 11 or 12, except for Mutie who was 17 and my healer who was level 9 at the time. At first I didn’t really know what to expect so I went in without expectations. The first part of the instance was normal, monsters were only a little more difficult than the other one in the rest of the city, although for my healer, almost every monsters are hard, so no real surprise there. We finally met the first boss, a Goblin, unfortunately I forgot his name. It was not as hard as I thought, everyone seemed to know their job and everything went smoothly.
Then we moved to the other part, killing every monster on our way. We got to the second boss, a Gibberling. He jumped on us from the stairs and attacked us. He was a little harder to kill than the first boss we met. It look like he had a bit more HP and defense. But we brought him down quite easily.
After that one we went in the building to continue on our journey through XAES. Everything was smooth and relaxed. But then, we got to the boss. I don’t know what happened but it didn’t went as smoothly as the rest of the run, at least for me. I got killed by a little monster that passed through our front line of attack and got to me who was trying to keep everyone alive. Being a healer… a life long irony, you try to keep everyone alive but you can’t keep yourself alive, in my case anyway.
The good thing here is that I finished a couple of quests and managed to ding level 10. After that we made another run with other people and it went even smoother that the first time. In all that I had a great time and my Allods Online meter went up a little and each and everyday I’m getting to like the game more and more.
Here’s two short video I managed to edit and put online before going. I won’t have this computer for 3 weeks, but I’ll have a laptop, so I’ll still be able to post news and the usual stuff I post.
Now, on to the videos!
Yeah, the second one is only there for my own pleasure, I like making short stupid movies like that
