5 guild mates built a castle in Runes of Magic

October 4, 2010 2 comments

Yes! We finally achieved one of our guild goals. We build our castle! On august 4th 2010 we established our guild, Coffeebreak. Now, two months later, on October 4th 2010 we finally constructed a guild castle. That’s a big first for us, since we never really achieved anything as a guild before. Now we have our own little castle and can start recruiting new people.

Good job Coffee Breakers!

We are currently 5 active members that took part in the process of building the castle. I don’t think I’ve heard about a 5 man guild building a castle in Runes of Magic before, so It might be a first on the server, who knows. Anyhow we are really proud of what we achieved up to this day and we hope to continue moving forward as a group of casual players that enjoy the game.

Since we’ve made another step forward with the castle, I’ve decided to put my Knight as the main guild leader. He’s now my main character and I personally feel that a knight looks more like a Guild Master that a Rogue, with the big armor, the shield and the sword, I think it gives a tougher look to the guild, just my 2 cent.

Here’s a picture of my being happy on the top on my our castle!

Reached some goals

Yesterday was a good day. I went to see a good hockey game and I reached a couple of goals I had set myself in Runes of Magic.

When I first start playing with my Knight/Rogue I wanted to reach the same levels as my Rogue/Scout. Yesterday I finally hit 40 on my knight. That makes him 40/35, which is the same thing as my rogue/scout.

Another of my short term goal was to have 1 million gold, without the help of my previous characters. I started Pyran from nothing and went up from there. Yesterday after I saw that a couple auction had been sold I went to collect the money and what do I see ? 1 million gold in my backpack! Happy Pyran.

1 million gold!

Having made so much money is a first for me, so I’m quite happy with myself, and I’ll probably use some of it to transmute myself a nice plate armor. I don’t need the leather one because I took the one I had on my other rogue, win-win!

Another first was the Puss-in-Boots pet. CMEres was giving away some Puss-in-Boots potion that turned your pet, permanently, into Puss-in-Boots. I was quite happy when I received the message on twitter that I had won it.

First on Reni baby!

Here’s my new little friend

And last, but not least, I reached level 30 with cooking. That’s why I have 125 creamy seafood in the screenshot. Cooking also helped me a lot reaching my 1 million. Also, I’m now addicted to food buffs. That’s why I usually take the time to make a hundred of more, to make sure I have enough for a couple level, after that I can safely gather what I need to the stronger ones.

So that’s about it for now, I’m quite happy with myself with what I’ve achieved up until now. Now my next short term goal are:

  • Reaching 50 with my knight
  • Reaching 40~45 with my rogue
  • Getting herbalism, mining and woodcutting to 45~50
  • Getting cooking to 45~50

Hopefully I’ll have reached these new goals by Christmas. Wish me luck!

Hello, I’m Abstergo, and I’m an Altoholic

Hello, I’m Abstergo, and I’m an Altoholic.

I’ve been playing Runes of Magic for quite a while now and I have 4 characters at least level 25, and 2 over 30… on both classes. One thing that’s nice is that from the knowledge I’ve gain through my various character I can now level a guy to 30 in no time.

Two weeks ago I decided to take a break from my Rogue/Scout to try out a tank. For your information, last time I had a tank It was in the ArchLord closed beta test, that’s almost 4 years ago. So I thought it was time to take a little break from the damage dealing classes and go for the tank, also I was tired of the squishy classes. I chose a Rogue as my secondary class to feel at ease a little, since I already know the class well enough.

Fast forward to one week ago. My knight/rogue is now 25/25, my cooking skill is at 22, my gathering are at 28, and my guild is close to being level 5. We can already smell the castle. Suddenly I had an epiphany. Why was I playing Rogue/Scout all this time ? I prefer the Knight/Rogue combination a hundred times more.

So here I am today, playing mainly on my knight/rogue, having more money, more developed skills, more fun overall.
