Lately I’ve been playing a lot of Runes of Magic. This is my second time playing the game. The first time I never passed level 12 so I couldn’t truly appreciate the game. This time around I went over my past record and now I’m a level 20/16 Warrior/Knight. I chose this combo so I could tank and not get killed by the first monster around. The combo is also a pretty nice damage dealer, especially the warrior side, but you can use his best attack on the knight side too, so it makes leveling a little faster.
Since my first steps into the world of Runes of Magic I made some nice progress. I reached a nice level for my casual play style, I made some good money gathering and reselling and most important of all, I found a really nice guild. They’re a really great bunch of people who play a nice laid back and relaxed game.
This weekend I’m planning on getting my both classes to at least 21/21. I think it’s doable, especially Friday night since I’ll be alone all night.
I also played a little Allods Online, but I’ll talk about it later on this week. For now I’m leaving you with some screenshots I took in RoM.
As you may have realized by now I did in fact ascend on that evening. A couple days later I decided to go visit Altgard. So after going to Pandaemonium to visit my good old friend Balder and to ascend I went to altgard to start a new adventure, now that I have wings I can do everything!

As soon as I get to Altgard I start flying away. I flew around a bit to visit the place and get the thousands quests waiting for me there. Then, off I went, a new adventure was waiting for me!
Resting in high places
I flew all around Altgard to gather some Aether because I would start crafting soon and needed a lot of it. I decided to land on the back of one of those giant elephant-like things. Great view up there. I went to the Moslan forest after only to discover a Striped Gumi I was wondering if he tasted good, but the color wasn’t really appealing.
Does it taste good ?
Then I decided to go to Impetisium to see what it looked like. I was really surprise, it looks great! And the way to get there looks great too. But once I got by Black Claw Outpost I got killed pretty badly, so I decided to stop there and come back when I’ll be stronger. Now I’m level 17, almost 18 and I intend to go back and kick the Mau who killed me back then. My vengeance is going to be terrible!

Day 1 2 impressions.
Yesterday was my first day in the open beta. Everything was going almost smoothly until I got into the game. Then the lag hit me. At one time I had over 34 000 000 ms seconds, yeah you read that right, 34 millions. So I decided to let it go. I came back later last night to give it another try. I heard that NCsoft had a maintenance during the day so I was hoping everything would be good after that.

To my delight, everything was better. I started where I had left off a couple hours before, questing around Odella Plantation. Now that the servers where rebooted everything was running like a charm, and I could finally do what I like the most, quest (and craft, but that’s for another post). After a while, my hard-working Priest finally dinged level 9, which meant Ascension! It was time, I went back to see Munin in his crystal prison at Ishalgen Prison Camp. He told me what to do in order to Ascend. I did everything he told me to, and what do you know, I’m at Pandaemonium in front of the High Priest Balder. He aknowledged me as a true Daeva and off I went for another adventure!
Yeah, not the good screenshot, but it was a perfect fit for the story.
Then I logged off. I’m logging back in pretty soon, I plan on crafting a little bit and finish some quest I didn’t have time to finish in Ishalgen. If you see a chanter named Thalired on Triniel, that’s me, don’t be shy give me a shout.
